Friday Features – Veronica Mars Revival and Edible Cookie Dough, The Perfect Pair
August 24, 2018
Friday Features is Finally Back!
Hey y’all! Long time, no Friday Features. Life is taking a little change right now (update post coming soon), but I’ll be moving to Orlando in just a week. So, preparing for that has taken over everything. Anyways, I’ve finally had time to gather some of my favorite news from this week (hint Veronica Mars Revival anyone) for a new Friday Features!
Feature 1: Veronica Mars Revival – Our Favorite Sassy Detective May Be Returning
If you’ve never sat down to watch the cult classic show “Veronica Mars”, you’re really missing out. Kristen Bell starred in Veronica Mars as a once-popular but now a sarcastic and sassy teen who helps her father in solving cases. Each episode involves Veronica solving a crime while trying to solve a larger picture case that lasts over the season. Unfortunately, the show was only on air for three seasons, but in 2014, they made a Veronica Mars movie. While I loved the movie, I, of course, wanted more. And, now there’s a possibility! It’s been reported a revival is in the works with Hulu and creator Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell have both said they’d be a part of a revival. Here’s to hoping we’ll get to see Veronica Mars again soon!
Feature 2: SokoGlam’s Latest Curation – Troiareuke Is Finally Here
Troiareuke is a popular Korean Beauty brand that’s known for their high quality products catered to those with daily skin concerns. What makes their beauty products so special is that they involve skin care into make-up. I’ve been wanting to try their products for a while, but they haven’t been accessible in the U.S. market. You could buy them on Amazon, but the price mark-up and chance of getting a knock-off/bad product always deterred me from doing so.
One of their most popular products is the Troiareuke A+ Cushion, and my most wanted. It contains so many beneficial skin care ingredients such as centella asiatica, tea tree extract, calendula extract, and SPF50+, so it’s helping your skin even when wearing foundation. It’s said to give a glow-y finish that prevents dehydration during the day. Their skin care line is called Acsen made specially for those with acne/sensitive skin. SokoGlam is now bringing the Acsen TOC Toner and the Acsen Pore Control Mask, both for an affordable price too!
Visit SokoGlam to read all about the Troiareuke products!
Feature 3: Halloween Is Coming – Disney’s New Hocus Pocus Merchandise
With it being almost September, Halloween will be here soon and Disney World is already getting us prepared. One of their popular yearly events is the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and you better believe Hocus Pocus is celebrated thoroughly. Hocus Pocus is a classic Halloween movie and Disney World is giving us all the merchandise! They have spirit jerseys (my personal fave) and three t-shirts each designed like one of the Sanderson sisters. With my upcoming move to Orlando, I may just have to pick up one. Visit Disney Parks website here to learn more about the festivities and merchandise!
If you’ve never eaten the cookie dough rather than baking them, have you ever really lived? I remember in college my best friend and I would always have at least one pack of cookies in the fridge. Yet, they never made it to the oven (we were willing to take the salmonella risk). Now the creators of some of the best ice cream pints, are testing out edible cookie dough! So far there are two flavors (chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip) that come in half-pound bags. They’re said to be 100% a-okay to eat raw due to cooking with pasteurized eggs. Hopefully there’s enough interest in them to bring them to our local grocery stores. Because, I’m pretty sure this will be my new late night snack.
