My Top 5 Affordable Korean Skin Care Products

About a year ago, my skin was the worst it has ever been in my life. I was having terrible breakouts constantly and knew I had to find a new skin care routine. After some research and reading, I stumbled across Charlotte Cho’s Soko Glam’s blog The Klog and Youtuber Joan Kim. That’s when I decided to try Korean skin care, and I have stuck with it ever since. I’ve tried many different products and brands over the past year and continue to try new ones frequently. However, 5 products have claimed a permanent spot in my skin care rotation (and they’re really affordable!):

1. CosRX Triple C Lightning Liquid | $27

This item was actually a collaboration between Soko Glam’s co-founder Charotte Cho and CosRX. The formula is 20.5% Vitamin C and 72% black chokeberry. Vitamin C works to even your complexion and fade acne scars, and this product is amazing. It has made every single acne scar I’ve had completely disappear or fade to where I’m the only one that even notices it. For the quality of ingredients and amount of serum you get, this product is basically a steal:

2. Son & Park Beauty Water | $20

Until I switched to Korean skin care, I never used a toner. But now, my face doesn’t feel clean without it. This Son & Park Beauty Water can work as a cleansing water and a toner. Personally, I use it as both. I use it after I wash my face to ensure all make-up has been removed, but with a pH of 4.5, it is an effective toner as well. I always follow with an additional toner afterwards too, but you totally do not have to do that. It has a really light, pleasant scent, and this 11.5 oz bottle has lasted me many more months than I ever expected:

3. Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream | ~$20-$24

I first heard about this product from Joan Kim’s Eye Cream Video, and with the price, I knew I had to give it a try. Within two weeks, I noticed a huge difference in the creases around my eyes. Not only that, but the morning after I apply it, my eyes look “more awake” than they did before. I also started using a small amount on my smile line areas, and noticed that those lines are far less noticeable after I apply make-up as well.

4. SkinFood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off | $10

This product I bought about two weeks ago when I was desperate to try something new to exfoliate after washing my make-up off. I settled on this VERY affordable product, and my skin has never felt so soft. It also has a really nice scent to it, and the sugar granules do a great job of leaving your skin feeling fresh and smooth.

5. CosRX Low-pH Good Morning Cleanser | $10-$12

I love using this cleanser in the morning (hence, the name LOL). Since I don’t want a heavy face wash for the mornings when I don’t have make-up on, this is my go-to. It’s a light, gel cleanser that leaves the skin clear and refreshed for you to apply the rest of your skin care and make-up. You can always depend on CosRX to provide affordable products, but more importantly, products that only contain quality ingredients.

You can’t get much better than the Skinfood black sugar mask for that price. There’s other exfoliators I usee, too, bu this one’s go-to especially when I’m on a budget 🙂

I totally agree! What other exfoliators do you use that are your favorites? I’m always looking for other products to try out. 🙂
